I picked up the new Double Fine game
The Cave today on a deal. It's a pretty charming little game but man there are some awkward controls that make the platforming sections frustrating. It plays a lot like
Trine, which is a little disconcerting considering this is a Double Fine production and I expect a little more than a game similar to one from 4 years ago. I also don't like how there's no dialog between your characters, which is odd considering it's from Ron Gilbert, one of the original designers behind the first two Monkey Island games. Still it's pretty charming and there's some good writing in the narration, but it's not quite what I was expecting, especially given its pedigree.
