Though, thanks to my great sense of humor I have an opinion.

I don't think that commercial record companies have ruined the art of music whatsoever. I think that people probably just haven't searched hard enough for good music. I mean, it's out there. Whether or not it's went viral is the problem. A lot of youth have mostly 'fallen in love' with a band or song because it went viral. But there's loads of music out there that's been released that wasn't ruined by a commercial record company.
