I know you didn't ask me but I painstakingly waited each week for a new episode when it first came out. Banshee is the name of the hicktown in Pennsylvania that the main character(who is a thief btw) runs away to after being chased by some mobsters where he takes on the role of sheriff there. You heard me right, a thief comes to a town and takes over the sheriff role.
Later on you figure out why he chose that specific town to come to. The show has a gritty dark feel to it and after each episode there is a little scene that gives away a nugget of information.
