I finally watched The Comedy and was riveted by it.
Strip away all of the silly Tim & Eric stuff, leaving behind only the vulgarity and darkness, and add a whole lot of slow moving, not-wholly-explained indie film moments, and you have this film.
An extremely slow-paced dark comedy, with moments of hilarity, crudeness, and almost shocking darkness. It's my favorite thing I've watched in quite a while. Synopsis: 40-ish fat & wealthy New York hipsters pass time by finding creative ways to be a
ssholes to each other, and everybody else, including total strangers. A stellar performance by Tim Heidecker, whose character I related to in an uncomfortable way. Co-starring an especially old and fat looking James Murphy.
