It looks comparable to
Regent Park in Toronto, where 70% of the population there lives below the poverty line, and many of them in government housing (the projects, basically), and gang violence is rampant. Same with the intersection of Jane & Finch. I deliberately avoided York University because it's a block away from that intersection, and also has a high rate of on-campus rapes (where some dumb cops blamed the victims...)
