Because people always put it under. Cleaning ladies, in particular. At my work.
I think they are doing it specifically to troll us. There is no way that they are not consciously doing it, because it's the wrong way 100 percent of the time. And unless cleaning ladies somehow think this is the most efficient way, then they know it is not, and are doing it on purpose.
