These particular singles are two of my all-time favorite love songs. (Self-Titled) Ritchie Valens is the first album by
Ritchie Valens, posthumously released by Del-Fi Records in March 1959,
one month after his
death in a plane crash.

The Day the Music Died, dubbed so by
Don McLean's song "American Pie", was an aviation accident that occurred on February 3, 1959, near Clear Lake, Iowa, killing rock and roll musicians
Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, J. P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson, and the pilot,
Roger Peterson.
"We Belong Together" was originally a 1958 American rhythm and blues hit by
Robert & Johnny ... A rendition by Ritchie Valens was released in 1959.
True Love ways was written by
Buddy Holly, released in 1960..
