This guy is cool
His music is intelligent, I'm not even talking about Doo-Wops & Hooligans
which is a quite normal album with nothing special but the vocals.
But his second one? Unorthodox Jukebox?
You guys should take a listen, the guy reminded me of these fellas:
Prince first of all, Michael Jackson, Sam Cooke, The Police, Daft Punk...etc
I digged the production and i think it's far better than his first album..
Just listen to this song "Gorilla", with the risqué lyrics, strong vocals, EPIC falsetto at the end,, it's a song that Prince would like to cover...
Not to mention the "Locked Out of Heaven" hit which is everybody's jam.. "When I Was Your Man", i didn't like Show Me and Young Girls, they sounded too cheesy for me anyway, but Moonshine, Gorilla, Treasure, LOOH, WIYWM, If I Knew and Natalie, those are the ****.. (Noticing that he managed to put different sounds on his work, Mixing reggae with funk, R&B with rock, New Wave/reggae rock bass with Pop choruses... i think he's doing just fine with this album).. and finally RIP Bernie his mother, she died two days ago and i think he's not promoting anymore because of the condition.. So whatchu guys think about this fella?
