I saw The Purge earlier today and thought it was pretty good actually. Simple, pretty straight forward horror movie.I like that it relied on suspense to make it worth watching, and not over the top gore. I thought it was pretty old school and I liked that. Was the acting fantastic? No. Was it a bit predictable in spots? Sure. But its horror and really there arent any horror movies winning an Oscar, you know? Anyway, it would be a fun movie to watch if someone was planning to stay in and watch scary movies all night or something. Good times.
