So his voice is suited for no genre. Tell me, what makes his voice unsuitable for rock? Should it be deeper? Do you think he needs more range?
And if its suited for no current genre, is he pushing the bounds of what a genre is? Are you suggesting Metallica is a Prog band? Is James achieving tracendance within some other genre that he’s moved out of?
And what makes him “cling to his metal vocals”? Is he barking, or singing, or is he doing both? Is he the Tuvan throat singer of popular American music? Has he somehow managed to capture the spirit of two different things simultaneously?
