I was first chair sax (alto) in school but have been playing all woodwinds since age 12. Youre no doubt better than I am at flute altho I do have one in the cabinet that gets played about 3 X a year.
My teachers (both male) ruined it for me when they started making everything about marching. To this day they tell the kids I am the best sax player
