This is a good example of why I love sites like turntable and plug.dj - it's very likely I would never have heard this album had it not been for Pedestrian suggesting it to me after getting a sense of what I like to listen to (read: melancholic psych folk), and further, had it not been for my trust in her taste and recommendations after consistently enjoying the music she plays. Pitchfork apparently adored the sh it out of this album back in 2001, and although the reviews on that site cause eyerolls so dramatic they hurt I have to agree with their glowing praise. It's a fu cking great one. |
Great, great album there! It was definitely on a very regular rotation for me back in the early 00s.
