Should work with old stains. But before you soak with peroxide, agitate the stain with your fingers, like sort of crumple it together and rub. It will loosen dried blood up and make it easier to remove. You might not get all the stain out in this case, but it will fade drastically. If the sheets/fabric is all white, you can try putting bleach in the wash, when you wash the sheets (most washers have a separate dispenser for bleach).
