I don't think it prevents a proper recreation of the book. All they have to do is come up with a different title and market it letting people know that it's more faithful to the book than this previous film was but they should probably way a few years before doing it.
Also my thing is if I wanted to read the book I would. I didn't go into this movie expecting it to be a faithful adaption of the book because one I have very little faith in film makers that attempt to do that and two I choose to view movies as a different medium that can't always capture all of the magic that is in the pages of the book so I take it at face value and realize that it's just the director's vision for it.
