People take advantage of you because they mistake being nice for being a doormat. Plus sometimes I can just never shut up which is annoying especially when you're watching a film with someone. I used to be really shy up until I was about 19 then have been slowly coming out my shell since. I feel like loads of people irl like me because they can talk to me easily but they're probably just 2 faced bitches who don't like me at all yet go out of their way to speak to me. Alright first of all, what the hell does "get a jam sandwich" mean?
Secondly, I've actually been the opposite. I've always had social anxiety, but I was also so socially crippled that I didn't even know how awkward I was, so a lot of the time I would do or say something really weird and not know just what a spectacle I was making of myself, but as I've gotten older I've become much more aware of this. Unfortunately, though my social skills have improved, my confidence has not, so I've just become even more paranoid than ever about doing or saying something to embarrass myself so my social anxiety has actually grown as I've gotten older.
