Yeah it's bloody awful, it doesn't make you feel good at all. I had a massage therapist who works downstairs have a go at me for walking around upstairs (apparently too loudly). I explained to her that I have heels on my boots which makes it difficult to be quiet and she's like "uh well can you just TRY HARDER!" [insert catty tone here] Not only that, I've been working there three months and she's never ever mentioned this before.
Good on you for sticking up for yourself. I was teaching Statistics to first and second year University students for a couple of years and didn't have any issues with being so young. I'm actually going to get some more teaching work in Auckland.
