i bought a focusrite Scarlett interface from cash convertors and it had ableton live 8 with it. i have found it to be good as it has an easy to understand setup and already have learnt how to add some vts instruments into the songs. mainly different bass sounds and some synths. its great and its good accompaniment with my guitar. the only thing is the midi tracks stand out more and its not blended with my acoustic guitar and voice. i can add some effects but it still sounds a bit different. Ive heard there is some sort of wrap you can add to the whole song to blend it better. i suppose that's the thing about not having real instruments. still its fun having all these sounds and i have heaps of experimenting to do.
