Yes they are mainly influenced by tool. Imo they are quite different though, really like everything they have put out definitely check it out. Not exactly party music but clearly that doesnt matter if you like Karnivool and Tool so much.
Id say start with anything but the first album Point #1.

I just listened to a couple of albums yesterday, and I dunno, I'm not feeling them as much as I do Karnivool, Tool, or Tesseract say. Don't get me wrong, I do really like them, but they're a little mainstreamy and predictable. However the only albums I've listened to so far are
This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In) and
Wonder What's Next. Any suggestions of another album, Rez?
