The Sound -

I really do think The Sound are one of the better post-punk bands from the late '70's/early '80's and as far as debut albums go they really bring a lot to the table with this. I still think
From the Lions Mouth is the better album, but I enjoy the more punk rock edge with this one and it feels a bit more uplifting, although I think their skirting the black pit of despair and loneliness is what really makes them standout.
I know a lot of other people have been enjoying this album, and if you're a fan of Joy Division or other post-punk bands from that time period but haven't heard of The Sound, you should definitely go back and check out their discography.
