It just doesn't seem so in character with Tywin, Cersei isn't humanised to the point where you're like WTF, f. ex, in s2 he tells Arya in Grandpappy mode that she reminds him of his daughter....yet in s3 he insults Cersei to her face when she talks about being his actual heir, so clearly he doesn't hold his daughter in very high regard
Cersei's changes werent that huge
but that being said, I hate the changes to Shae's character that they're making. Cersei's make more sense to me.
