Well I don't like it because it does literally nothing new or special. It's a cautionary tale just as Ice Cube told twenty years ago, it's got production steeped either in that period or new "trap" fads and is also boring, the lyricism isn't engaging, his voice is annoying, AND it was more overhyped than Kanye and A$AP combined. The best thing he has going for him is that he's flexible in his style, but that's about it. Frank Ocean had the best album of last year hands down, he told an engaging, unique narrative with a truly great production, but he got passed over because nobody digs R&B anymore. Also, Grizzly Bear were way better, AC were way better, and Neil Young will always own Kendrick but not in a racist way.
