I think "I Never Cry" is pretty embarrassing. "How You Gonna See Me Now" is a great song, and of course, "Only Women Bleed" is superb. Most of the other ballads from his post-dark years albums are attempts at radio play/exposure/hits and all sound pretty dated to me ("Burning Our Bed" comes most readily to mind).
