sums it up nicely, i fail to see why this topic had to reach 2 pages when the debate could have been closed with this statement, which has been reitterated many, many times over. every time i read a thread like this i'm absolutely baffled at why people think this is a new development. Every single trend in history started as a subversive movement, then made it's way into the "mainstream". It's not a new development, nor a threatening one. yes more and more kids are listening to the so-called "pop-punk" bands like sum 41, blink 182 etc etc. but that doesnt change the fact that there are still great punk bands out there that people are willing to seek out and hold on to. honestly people, shut up about the "posers" who've "ruined" or "killed" your favorite genre. It's bullsh
it and as people have been complaining about it for decades now, we're all sick and tired of hearing about it.
