i think you can criticise an artist the person likes without directly attacking the person
for example,
i hate nickelback
if you actually like even one song from them i think it reflects poorly on your character but that's as far as i take it..
if i claim superiority over you just cause you have different taste then me im either trolling you or im an ass-hole
