I'd have to agree at least somewhat. I didn't find real love until fairly late in life (almost 30), and I realize now that it wouldn't have done me any good to have met them earlier because I was a different person then.
I lived through being essentially disowned by my psycho catholic parents and a 4 year loveless marriage (due to an unplanned pregnancy) before I was able to get in touch with what I really wanted and needed in a relationship.
No need to rush things.
