Interesting. I did an experiment where I left a 20 in a little metal cake dish in my car under the windshield, and nothig happened. It was warm but that was it. I couldn't even burn a hole through it with a match. It just got singed a bit.
I hate those goddamn plastic bills though. They stick together especially when it's humid out so just watch if you have a couple of them in your wallet when you pay for something. They're coming out with the plastic 5's and 10's in the spring.
