I agree with Urban, if somebody hold the door or elevator or whatever for you, it's common courtesy and it's polite to just say "thank you" and be on with your day. They're not doing it because you're a woman or whatever.
Also she can't spell. Maybe she had male English teachers and she thought she was being oppressed by them so she cut the class.
