The Electric Lady (2013)
Quite enjoyed this one, had the same energy as her last album and in some ways it reminded me of
Deltron 3030, at least in the interludes. It did run a little long and there were a few songs I didn't care much for, but I was never bored at least. Definitely a great R&B album from this talented lady.
Nine Inch Nails -
Hesitation Marks (2013)
I like this for the same reasons I like
[With_Teeth] (2005). It's the kind of album that stays in the foreground of your mind, but is something you can zone out to. It's not boring or LCD pandering but it's also no great masterpiece like
The Downward Spiral or
The Fragile, but I guess if Trent wants to rest on his laurels then more power to him, he's earned it.
