Oz: The Great and Powerful
I wasn't too keen on the idea of a prequel to The Wizard of Oz, so when I saw previews for this movie, I wasn't too quick to go and see it. I had a coworker tell me it was a pretty good film. I went and got it from Red Box last night and I have to admit, I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. There were a few parts with the acting that was a bit cringe worthy, but overall, they did a pretty decent job at providing the story before Dorothy. Visually Disney seriously outdid themselves, again. James Franco also did a pretty good job. I enjoyed it. Quite a bit more than I was expecting. I would say it's one of those films that's worth watching if only for the visual aspects. It related to Avatar in that same sense.
