I've been sober a long long time, I haven't bought beer in well over 18 years, but before that I bought and drank ENTIRELY too much beer, and at least back then Heineken cost as much or more than good beer (meaning microbrew porters, hefeweizens, ales, etc. locally by brands such as Widmer, Sierra Nevada, Pyramid, et al).
The only thing I routinely drank that would be defined as cheap beer was
Henry's Ale. I drank a LOT of that in the early-mid '90's just before I got sober.
Nothing and I mean NOTHING is worse than Bud and Coors, ESPECIALLY Bud or Coors *Light*. Effing swill IMO.
But again I'd drink cyanide before I drank alcohol now. I don't mind hanging with other people drinking at all, unless they get sloppy and/or drink alcoholically.
