Does "indie" kind of lose it's meaning when it's applied to Billboard artists? British artist Passenger is really popular, and he's considered indie (he is on an indie label, though). But Ed Sheeran is not, his + album was released on Asylum and Atlantic, which aren't indies, but Warner child companies, and as you all know, Warner is one of the largest record companies in the world. Anyway, though Passenger is on an indie, his music is really hi-fi. I don't know about Ed Sheeran, I haven't really heard him, but you know, Warner.
