I'm divided on this subject. On the one hand I'd never want to make anyone feel like a victim again by making or enjoying a joke that pertains to whatever they are or were a victim of. On the other hand, I do think a joke can contain "off colo(**** your u's in color I live in 'Murica)r" subjects while being inoffensive. Additionally, a lot of jokes in some way rely on having someone to make fun of. No one thinks twice about the myriads of ignorant emo jokes that used to be popular and how they affected emo kids, poseurs and veterans alike, because it was just a joke. And for the most part, jokes aren't meant to be taken seriously. I included some bits from one of my favorite comics of all time that exemplify what I mean.
