I loved rap during this period, here are some of my favs, excluding the whole NWA, DRE, Public Enemy, Hammer stuff, which I also love.

Digable Planets: Everyone remembers Cool Like That, but this was always my favourite track by them

Gravediggaz: The pioneers of horrorcore.



Jungle Brothers - There are a few versions of this song, but I think this is far better than the video version with De la Soul

Doin Our Own Thing



Geto Boys - Again a few different versions of the song. The clean version for the radio is actually better produced. If you can get the version that clocks in at around 5:57 get it. I can't find it on You tube.
