My experience was just like yours, Aichuk; didn´t like it at first, but it has subsequently become a real favourite. It sounds kind of carelessly put together, which used to offend me until I realized that that´s what makes it so great. After listening to Tago Mago for a while, other albums began to sound too artificial and contrived and I had to go back to Tago Mago for a hit of superb, unpretentious studio jamming. I always skip Peking O, though, while Aum is my favourite, I think. Their next album
Ege Bomyasi is pretty good, but doesn´t quite have the raw energy of Tago, imo.
