Too gamey for my taste. I used to do a lot of hunting back in Michigan with my uncles. I no longer choose to eat it for a healthier diet. One thing that should be pointed out, alot of the reason people hunt to begin with is to keep the populations of said animals low. Otherwise they will all starve when their food source is depleted. Hunters usually know the terrain and populace of animals and only take down the older animals.

This too. More so during things like buck season being you can tell the age a lot easier than you can on other animals or, in deer, does. But if you are in experienced hunter you can tell by their coloring, build, etc.
