That was as dominant an offensive performance as I've seen the Vikings have in years, despite being down their top 2 RBs and top 2 TEs. While Asiata's yards per carry was dismal, he was still fairly effective at moving the chains. It was nice to be dominant in time of possession for once.
That game was all Cassel though. Credit to the receiving core too (particularly Jennings), but Cassel was bombing it down the field with regularity and connecting more often than not. I still want to completely blow it up, so I want to get a new franchise QB, but if I thought the Vikings could challenge for a playoff spot next year, I'd be fine with Cassel as the QB.
Despite giving up 30 points, I thought the D played pretty well too, despite some obvious slip-ups. Nice to see Smith back.
