My day?! Well, fuck.
Yesterday, all of my company's customer service decided that having a ten minute queue meant they should transfer every call to Financial Services, my department, which led to a ninety minute queue for us. My shift ended at eight, but we still dealt with all the calls which had come in before 8, and were there until 9:15. I kept having to tell people I couldn't escalate because we were closed, and just answering the calls that came in prior to 8, EST.
And, oh my god, if I weren't making 850 a check, I would quit the hell out of this job.
