Sorry, you'll just have to play for the well written story, fun platforming, and well designed puzzles.
I actually beat the game last night and the only criticisms I have are that the survival element of the game was pointless, there were way too many dumb collectibles, and the fire fights were getting pretty ridiculous towards the end of the game. If they end up making a sequel I really hope they look towards
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and
The Last of Us for inspiration. The former had the survival elements down with that stamina bar that needed to be refilled by eating wild life, and a healing system that let you focus on separate areas on your body. From the latter it would really benefit to have that kind of combat system with a very limited amount of bullets, to make it feel like each fire fight is a boss battle that requires strategy, and not just letting your regenerating health tank it up.
