Yes the writing was terrible. The acting pretty bad too. A lot of questionable set piesces(does the main antagonist really need to use a samurai sword?) and some glaring plot holes.

I still liked the movie. I love Blamkop's aesthetic. His dystopian futures, being a representation of current living conditions for many africans-or in this case the favela's-is admirable. And no matter how brazingly,and rather simply, he goes about his social commentary in films it still something that is all too missing in the recent, hallow entries in the genre.

I agree it's nowhere near as good as district 9.



great documentary. I never knew of "mandatory arbitration" and thats some crazy business.
