^ That´s a perceptive comment, FETCHER. A thread called "The many benefits of a child-free life" should devote more time to listing benefits, instead of grumbling away about babies. They certainly aren´t monsters and even at their most disagreeable, it might be as well to remember, "OK, I was once like that too - I´m going to give that little creature some leeway."
To take my own advice, some benefits of a child-free life might be money, peace and freedom from some responsibilities, I guess, although I personally have sacrificed some of those in favour of a child-full life.
