Amazing find, it's basically the album Nick Cave would write if he was a woman and did cabaret and jazz. There's some really wickedly dark lyrics on this album about death and jealousy, I mean there's a song called "Pulling Your Insides Out" but the melody totally distracts you from the lyrics so you just bob your head along enjoying it without really thinking about what's going on in the song. |
This is a good album but I wasn't blown away. Maybe I should listen to it again.
