Most conversations about music that I have in Turkey go likes this:
Me: Omg, you would love ____!
Them: Okay, I'll check it out (they never do).
Me: And have you heard of ____?
Them: No.
Me: Oh...okay.
So basically...everyone seems to be disinterested in music here.
