got me hooked on Animal Collective back in June in that thread and I've been checking out a lot of other, similar/related bands since then. Lots of good stuff out there, contrary to popular belief.
Based on your list of bands you like (down to and including John Denver), you sound like you have extremely similar musical tastes as me, so I might be your go-to guy at this point on recent musical recommendations.
