I've already gone through this a couple months ago when Janszoon tried to get me into this stuff. I love classical and jazz from that time period or any time period for sure, but never have I heard anything other than that from the 50's or before that has done anything whatsoever for me.

If you want to rec some stuff I'll gladly give it a reasonable attempt. I can be stubborn at times but I'm not hopelessly close-minded, especially when it comes to enjoying music. My opinion on this is not based off of nothing.
