I said LOADS because I know of LOADS of records being banned from radio. I'm not generalising at all. Hell even John Lennon had written songs that were banned & that guy has been a staple of radio over 50 years.

Tons of music is anti establishment and commercial at the same time. Banning a record is usually the quickest way to make it sell loads.
