I needed a way to record music recently and after some trial and error and experimentation I realized I could hook my laptop up to my mixer and record whatever I played through my PA system. All I needed was a cord I already had and a free audio editing program. The sound quality comes out just as good as it went in and it lets me fix up some parts of live recordings.
