Most games these days have short storylines though. Aside from my compulsion to do absolutely everything it also helps to give me more bang for my buck. Makes old school Final Fantasy games a serious pain in the ass though. They generally give you just enough payoff in leveling to keep you grinding for days and days in a single patch of ground if you're prone to that kind of thing.
