Deftones got me really into metal. I had listened and or been around metal scenes and shows most of my life but never really had an appreciation for it. Before Deftones I was an avid grunge fan if you will. Artists such as "Nirvana" really had me hooked. My first Deftones song was "Change" it wasn't heavy or anything in the riffs.. however I liked it and listened to more. When I heard "Hexagram and Bloody Cape" I knew there would be more bands like them. Deftones opened me up into the metal 'world' and I am grateful for that. So many doors have been opened up.. and I can gladly say I am a metal head.
