I reckon that's one reasons people don't drink locally brewed stuff here much - price. A pint or bottle of real ale is gonna cost way more than the stuff mentioned above by far.
Also availability, rarely if ever see local stuff in pubs or offies, the same s
hitty brands again and again. There used to be loads of Brum breweries but a few have closed down, or moved ffs.
