I can think of plenty of artists who might be tagged as 'indie' but sound absolutely nothing alike. What's the point complaining when indie is one of the loosest terms used in music? Even mainstream pop and rock artists get tagged as 'indie'.

I would suspect he means the run of the mill almost indie crap that he hears on the radio that they label 'indie"
